Renewals

Most loans can be renewed once within your loan period.  You can renew online before the due date by logging into your or by coming to the front desk to make a renewal request.  Renewals are not possible once the due date has passed.  You can however, bring the item in and check it back out as long as there is not a hold list for the item.

Library Overdue Fines

The Ozark Library will not charge patrons overdue fines for items returned late.

Lost Items

Items in long overdue status (30 to 60 days depending on the item) will be billed to Student Accounts. You will be charged for the replacement cost of the item and a $10.00 processing fee per item.

  • Lost Item Fine: $10
  • Cost Replacement Fine: varies based on cost of the item.

Additionally, your library account will be blocked and you will be unable to check out additional items unless the long overdue items are returned or your bill is sent to Student Accounts. Students with delinquent accounts are not eligible for advance registration or readmission to any term nor for receiving transcripts or recommendations. Collection fees for outstanding debts owed to the University may be assessed to the student.

If items are returned in good condition, all replacement fees associated with the item will be waived. Lost item process fees will still apply. Please note, however; no refunds will be issued if the item is found and returned after payment has already been made. No exceptions.

Email notifications will be the primary way the library will communicate overdue notices.  You may also receive text messages or phone calls from the library. You may sign-in to your  to check outstanding loans and due dates. Payments can only be made at Student Accounts.

Damaged Items

If you return items damaged, you may be assessed a Cost Replacement Fine for the cost of the item.  Replacements will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Paying Fines

The Ozark Library does not accept payment directly.  All fines are payable at Student Accounts via check, cash, or charge.  If you have unpaid fines on your library account, you can request that they be billed to Student Accounts for payment.  Once fines have been billed to Student Accounts, your library account will be cleared of charges and all blocks will be removed.

Once fines have been paid at Student Accounts, no refunds will be issued—no exceptions.
