ACCUPLACER

The ACCUPLACER® exam is a computer adaptive college placement test used by ATU to evaluate incoming student’s skill levels in reading, writing, and mathematics, and place students in courses appropriate to their skill levels.

The ACCUPLACER® exam is a computer adaptive college placement test used by Arkansas Tech University (ATU) to:

  • Evaluate incoming student’s skill levels in reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Place students in courses appropriate to their skill levels

Examinees may take each section of the ACCUPLACER® once per day but no more than three times in a 30-day period. It is recommended that test takers wait two weeks between an initial test and the retest. Test takers are encouraged to use the two week period for study and review of test content areas in which they did not obtain a passing score.

Exams may be scheduled by following the instructions outlined below under the registration tab, calling Testing Services at (479) 968-0308, or by stopping by in person at the Doc Bryan Student Services Building, Suite 211.
