911ϳԹϺ (ATU) uses the ACCUPLACER® exam test to help evaluate your skill levels in reading, writing, and mathematics and place you in the appropriate courses. Ready to take the test? Click the link below for more information.
The ACT is a college admissions test designed to measure a student’s readiness for college level coursework. 911ϳԹϺ (ATU) accepts the ACT for admission purposes.
The ACT On Campus is available to 911ϳԹϺ (ATU) to administer to students who were unable to test on a national ACT test date. Students should register for and take the national ACT on one of the six national test dates offered during the academic year, utilizing the ACT On Campus only as a last recourse. Scores from this exam are valid only 911ϳԹϺ and are not transferable to any other institution or agency by transcript or any other means.
ATU is required to limit ACT On Campus testing to students who have enrolled, have been admitted, or have officially applied to the university. Scores from the exam are reported only to ATU for admission, course placement, and advising purposes. Students must take the exam in its entirety. Students attempting to raise an individual test score (for example, math or English) in order to avoid remediation should take the ACCUPLACER exam.
ACT places these additional restrictions upon administration of the ACT On Campus:
ACT permits students to take the ACT up to twelve times. The ACT On Campus is counted toward this total.
The ACT On Campus testing year runs November 1 through September 30. ACT On Campus testing will not be conducted on any of the six regularly scheduled national ACT test dates. The ACT On Campus is available to be scheduled and administered upon request. ACT On Campus test scores from January will be accepted for ATU academic scholarship purposes. Test dates are available by appointment only. Please allow for adequate time for scheduling.
Students meeting the eligibility requirements for the ACT On Campus should contact the Office of Testing Services at (479) 968-0308 in order to schedule an exam. The Test Coordinator/designee is responsible for ensuring the student meets the ACT On Campus eligibility requirements prior to scheduling the exam.
The Test Coordinator/designee will administer the exam consistent with all ACT policies and procedures as documented in the ACT Administration Manual. Exams will be scored with results provided to students the day following the test no later than 3:00 p.m.

Proctoring services are available by appointment only. Please contact the Office of Testing Services at testingservices@atu.edu to schedule an appointment.
The Instructor Portal is available to faculty with students registered through the
Office of Disability Services.
Through the portal, you can view upcoming scheduled exams, upload test materials,
and manage other important testing details.
This form must be submitted by the instructor—not the student—in order for the Testing Center to proctor make-up exams or instructor-requested exams.
In the event of bad weather, please visit the , for updates. If the ATU campus is closed due to inclement weather, Testing Services will be closed as well.
If the campus is open but the weather is deteriorating, we will attempt to administer all scheduled tests. Again, please remember that your personal safety, as well as the safety of ATU staff members, is much more important than a test administration. We reserve the right to cancel scheduled tests if road conditions are too dangerous for staff members to safely report to the office or may have to risk their safety in order to return to their homes after administering a test.
If you are registered to sit for a national standardized exam (for example, the ACT or Praxis), you should call the national testing company for updates, or check their website, regarding whether or not your test center is open. Contact information for the testing company should be on your admission ticket.
If a national standardized exam is cancelled due to inclement weather, the testing company makes the decision as to whether or not a makeup date will be offered. Testing companies generally publish rescheduled test dates on their websites. Please check directly with the testing company for specific information.
Individuals are urged to place their personal safety first. Please do not endanger yourself or others by driving in unsafe conditions, even if the campus is open.
